"Great atmosphere, fascinating speakers and a great location," was tweeted about the TYPO3Camp Venlo organized by Beech and Patrick Broens. We were proud, because it is what Beech stands for; open, collaborate and always in development. You also saw that in the presentations where visitors were challenged in an interactive talk about communication, had to think hard during a difficult quiz about PHP and were surprised by the cooperation of TYPO3 and Bynder.

We have all experienced it, problems with speaking in public. Over 150 visitors eagerly received five communication tips during the presentation of Howard Lettinga.

More familiar territory was the presentation of Juliette Reinders Folmer. With her 'Why equal does not equal' PHP quiz, many developers thought of this quiz. But many walked out of the session desperately after the difficult questions. An interactive presentation where everyone in the audience has learned something.

In addition to the organization, Beech also provided a presentation together with Bynder. Bynder is a Digital Asset Management system where you can find, create, manage and use brand materials in the way that best fits your business. There is a but ... "We are as good as the system we are connected with", says Roxane Epskamp. With the extension created by our own Frans Saris, you can easily integrate Bynder into TYPO3 and that point is solved.

Besides Bynder, the php quiz and the five tips on communication, during TYPO3Camp venlo 2018 there was also a lot to learn about the developments of TYPO3, frontend editing in TYPO3, filesystem abstraction with Flysystem, the shift from Google to Mobile-first indexing, the changes through the new privacy legislation and SEO with TYPO3 and Yoast. Or as one of the visitors put it; "I have gained a lot of inspiration in an unconventional environment."
